Walailak University Introduces CWIE Principles to Over 540 Students in Preparation for Cooperative Education Placements
On 1 July 2026, the Center for Cooperative Education and Career Development, Walailak University, organized a seminar entitled “The Philosophy and Principles of Cooperative and Work-Integrated Education (CWIE)” at the Thaiburi Building.
The seminar was delivered by Mr. Ekkarat Kaewkhiao, Head of the Cooperative Education Division, and attended by more than 540 students preparing to undertake cooperative education placements at partner organizations.
The session aimed to provide students with a fundamental understanding of CWIE, an educational approach that integrates classroom learning with practical workplace experience. This approach enables students to develop professional skills alongside academic knowledge while preparing them for the beginning of their professional careers through enhanced technical competence, teamwork, and adaptability in real-world working environments.
The seminar formed part of the Center’s ongoing student preparation process, which ensures that all students gain a clear and accurate understanding of the CWIE system before beginning their placements at organizations across the country.
Students showed great interest and actively participated throughout the session. Their enthusiastic engagement reflected Walailak University’s commitment to producing high-quality, work-ready graduates whose competencies meet the needs of employers and the labor market.
