WU Coop Day 2024, a symbolic day of WU Coop Significant Success.
On 6th March 2024, The Center for Co-operative Education, Walailak University has organized “WU Coop Day 2024: A Success Gateway to Career path ’s Achievement” at Thaiburi Hall. The event was to give an honor award to entrepreneurs who played a major role in accepting a coaching Walailak University’s students in the past many years, and to strengthen the relationship and cooperation in coop project. Honor presented as a chairperson at the event were Prof. Dr. Sombat Thammarongthanyawong, Acting President of Walailak University, together with Asst. Prof. Dr. Padungsak Suksa-Ard, Vice President, Dr. Attanan Tachopisalwong, Director of the Center for Co-operative Education, lecturers and students more than 1,500 persons.
Prof. Dr. Sombat Thammarongthanyawong emphasized that the university’s ultimate goal was to develop a high quality of graduate both in academic and being a good mankind. They must be able to achieve in their profession after graduated from the university under our slogan “Academic Excellence with Professional Skills”. 100 percent of Walailak University’s students are required to take 8 months of cooperative education. The extension of coop period from 4 months to 8 months will certainly assist the students and entrepreneur in working skill and creating new knowledge. Importantly, a training period of 8 months were enough to prepare and enhance the students in many skills of their future real workforce.
During the event, Prof. Dr. Sombat Thammarongthanyawong conveyed his thanks to all company’s leaders and entrepreneurs who has provided a strong support to Walailak University under the Coop Project which was essential in providing such a great experience to improve the students’ skill of work to be able to compete in national and international level. He also thanks you to the organizers, participants and students who participated in the event.
Asst. Prof. Dr. Padungsak Suksa-Ard, Vice President, mentioned that the objective of Coop Day was to give an honor to entrepreneurs and stakeholders in promoting and collaborating with Walailak University, and to provide an opportunity for lectures and students to a face to face meet, discuss, and enroll interested students to the company during the event.
In 2024 the university has provided 3 Outstanding Awards to the entrepreneur, 15 WU Coop Best Partnership Award to entrepreneur who continuously support WU Coop.
