Walailak University signs MOU with Marriot International and Central Retail Corporation to enhance Cooperative and work-integrated Education.
Walailak University signed a Memorandum of Understanding for Cooperation in Cooperative and Work–Integrated Education (CWIE) with Marriott International Group (Thailand) and the Central Retail Corporation, which includes 81 establishments, intending to encourage students to improve their skills and gain real–world work experience.
On May 31, 2023, at 10.30 a.m., Prof. Dr. Sombat Thamrongthanyawong, Acting President of Walailak University, signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in Cooperative Education and Integrative Education (CWIE), with Mr. Alexander Kellermann, General Manager, Marriott Hotel Executive Apartment, Sukhumvit Park, Bangkok, with Assistant Professor Dr. Padungsak Suksaard, Acting Vice President, and Dr.Attanan Techopisalwong, Acting Director of the Center for Cooperative Education and Career Development, along with executives from both departments attended the signing ceremony at the gallery room, 2nd floor, Marriott Hotel, Executive Apartment, Sukhumvit Park, Bangkok.
Then, moving to Central Retail Corporation Public Company Limited at 2:00 p.m. on the same day to sign a Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in Cooperative Education and Integrated Education Management (CWIE) with Ms. Wetisa Kanchanaew, Head of Resourcing and Talent Acquisition, Central Retail Corporation Public Company Limited in Meeting Room A. Presso, 3rd floor, Central Silom Tower, with Ms.Suwanna Panya Wong Udom, Head of CRC Recruitment & Institute.
Walailak University Aiming to drive cooperative education policies along with Student quality development in the fiscal year 2023, the university has entered into a memorandum of understanding on CWIE with 47 high–quality enterprises in Phuket, also in Bangkok with the whole Marriott hotel chain, and the Central Retail group. These MOUs will increase the large establishment with high potential, able to support students to practice cooperatives both domestically and internationally, covering all fields of study, which leads to other collaborations in the future.
