On Monday, July 14, 2025, Walailak University’s Cooperative Education and Career Development Center had the honor of welcoming the executives and staff from the Public Relations Department Region 5 (PRD 5). The visit aimed to discuss opportunities for cooperative education placements for students within PRD 5’s network offices. The meeting took place at the Professor Dr. Wichit Srisa-arn Building, Walailak University.

The delegation, led by Dr. Theerapong Phetcharat, Director of PRD 5, together with representatives from its network agencies, was received by Associate Professor Dr.Phadungsak Suksa-Ard, Vice President of Walailak University. Discussions focused on establishing collaboration through the New Media Partnership: PRD5 Project.

This collaboration emphasizes enhancing the competencies of students from the Digital Communication and Digital Content programs through cooperative education placements. Students will have opportunities to undertake internships at PRD 5 agencies for periods of either four or eight months. The initiative aims to facilitate knowledge exchange in digital media, strengthen public sector human resources, and produce high-quality graduates ready for the workforce.
