On Thursday, 18 April 2024, the Center for Cooperative Education and Career Development (Coop Ed.) warmly welcomed 2 exchange students from Universitas 17 Agustus 1945 Surabaya (UNTAG Surabaya), Indonesia; Ms. Fira Firdausiyah and Ms. Sabrina Michelle Yaucob, to Walailak University Thailand.  The two students participated in Cooperative and Work Integrated Education Program at Santiburi Resort & Spa Koh Samui, an affiliate hotel of Walailak University, from 18 April to 12 July 2024. The two students studied in English program and take a minor field in hotel and tourism management. They were keen to learn and gain experience in Thai massage and spa therapy which Santiburi Resort & Spa Koh Samui was one of a famous hotel where the students can practice and were supervised closely by mentor experiencing spa therapy both in Thailand and many countries in Southeast Asia.

Waklailak University, strive forward to achieve at least 20 Exchange students under Cooperative and Work Integrated Education Program. A well – planned project to receive 20 exchange students by the Center for Cooperative Education and Career Development on 30 June 2024 as well as a previous exchange student from Indonesia and Malaysia can guarantee that the center will accomplished this project as planned. Cooperative and Work Integrated Education Program received a strong support and collaboration from many different stakeholders such as School of Political Science and Public Administration, the School of Educational and Liberal Arts and the Center for International Affairs who play a major role in hosting the students and provide a specific experience. In addition, four senior high schools nearby by the university took part in hosting the students for community services activities to fulfil more outside Thai community need.
